Liverpool needs to keep Gini Wijnaldum a Red.

Liverpool fans sound off to let the powers that be know full well how they feel about Gini Wijnaldum. Give that man a deal to keep him a Red!!

Gini… what can we say about his play with a Liverbird on his chest; for this club these past years since arriving from Newcastle United in 2016?

Underrated, check. Underappreciated, check.

Every other player on the amazing record-setting trophy-winning Reds have had a new deal, accept one – Gini. But no player has played more minutes with quiet workmanlike quality and a sense of ease.

He plays 90 plus and is ready to go again. Only Bobby ‘si senor’ Firmino comes close to minutes played under Klopp.

Like Milner, Wijnaldum is Bill Shankly’s one of a kind dream player, our Gini. Shanks would love him. A few fans decided to get together and put up a campaign to see that LFC know how we feel about this player. “Keep Gini Red” is a collaboration between fans and Rush The Kop to send a message upstairs so to speak.

An online survey/poll at ourlfc.com is being joined and votes recorded currently. Join the campaign now, to show how much we want to keep Gini a Red.

Give him a sweetheart deal to see him retire in Red. He has earned it.

One fan’s take, Richard Smith:

"“Apparently Gini wants a longer deal but it’s Liverpool’s policy that players 30yrs or over don’t get long deals i.e Gini wants a four-year deal but Liverpool will or have only offered a two-year deal.”"

I think if it is a four-year deal that Gini wants, it’s because he wants to possibly finish his career at Anfield. The million-dollar question is, do we have a player already at Liverpool who can do the job Gini does? If the answer is no, then is there a player out there that can be brought in to replace Wijnaldum, and how much would that player cost?

Everyone talks of Bobby Firmino and what he does for the team and the fact that he doesn’t score many goals doesn’t outweigh his valuable link-up play. Gini Wijnaldum goes about his business almost unnoticed, he’s our stealth weapon.

Next. It’s crunch time for Mohamed Salah after latest remarks. dark

Keep up the good fight Reds fans, follow the links to ourlfc.com and RushTheKop.com to keep abreast of this special collaboration and all things Liverpool.
