Watford 3-0 Liverpool

We were unbeaten in the Premier League, they were grinding through games with a slight chance of complacency setting in.

Liverpool were visiting Watford in what seemed would be a routine victory. Watford were right in the middle of a relegation battle, while we were scoring goals for fun. But as many of us already know, playing against a team that has nothing to lose is a tough proposition. Little did Liverpool know that they were going to get the taste of their own medicine.

Ismaila Sarr and Troy Deeney scored three second-half goals that saw the Reds comprehensively beaten at Vicarage Road. However, there is a silver lining. This game helped stop Liverpool from getting complacent in routine games. It reminded the players of what defeat felt like and ensured they pulled up their socks.

The next game would be a win over Bournemouth, while Klopp’s men drew with Everton and then smashed Crystal Palace 4-0. Which is a useful place to transition to the next slide…
