Record breakers

The first British club to secure the Grand Slam, the earliest winners of the Premier League with 7 games to spare, the most victories in a season, the best start to a season and the most consecutive victories were just some of the landmarks met by the ‘mentality monsters’ who wiped the floor as they stormed to the title.

Liverpool came into the 2019/20 season as Champions League holders who missed out on the domestic title by a solitary point. They made no mistake this time around as the machine steamrollered opposition after opposition and many were ground down.

Kopites can now look back at that season and enjoy the highlights and the tenacity displayed because living in the moment was very tense and stressful – the Reds won many games by single goal margins which made the victories all the more sweeter.

Other records have tumbled in 2020 including the longest undefeated home run by a single manager and the biggest away win in our history with the 0-7 win at Crystal Palace.
