New kids on the Kop

The 2020/21 season has been a disastrous one in relation to player injuries. Virgil van Dijk, Thiago Alcantara and Joe Gomez being the most prominent casualties notwithstanding other stars who at various points were also affected such as Sadio Mane, Jordan Henderson, Joel Matip, Fabinho, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alisson Becker, James Milner, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keita.

Step forward Rhys Williams, Nathaniel Phillips, Neco Williams, Curtis Jones and Caoimhin Kelleher who have been entrusted by the Boss to perform in high-pressure games and have been exceptional.

The Kop conveyor belt has been liberally oiled to continue the high-quality production line which is authentic and Homebaked – as the name of the community-run café across the Kop confirms.
