Trent Alexander Arnold vs Chelsea 23/07/2020

I chose this goal for two reasons. Firstly, it was against Chelsea and as Liverpool fans, we should all have an unwavering hatred of this particular London club. Secondly, and most importantly, it happened just as Fat Frank Lampard delved into the most iconic moment of his reign as Chelsea manager by hurling abuse at Jurgen Klopp.

The moment was so magical that it brings a nice smile to my face every I think of poor Frank swearing and carrying on as Trent whips his free-kick into the back of the net.

Add to that a little snigger from James Milner sitting in the crowd and it becomes one of the iconic moments of Liverpool’s 2019/20 title-winning season.

Fabinho vs Crystal Palace 25/06/2020

I love Fabinho. For me, he is one of the most valuable players in the squad, which has become even more evident since he dropped into the center-back role following the injury to Virgil Van Dijk.

But having him at the heart of the midfield fills me with so much confidence. He is a savage and when he can step forward and do what he did on this day against Crystal Palace it just makes me love him even more.

Liverpool had been struggling a little after returning to the field following the COVID lockdown. We needed a spark. We needed a moment to kick start our title challenge and the 4-0 thumping of a hapless Palace side was that moment, underlined by this thunderbolt strike from our phenomenal Brazillian star.
