Right-back: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 2

One of the worst performances seen from Liverpool’s number 66 this evening, losing possession 38 times. This is more than any other player in the league this season.

A common theme of lethargy ran throughout the side, but coming from a creative source like Trent Alexander-Arnold dictates the rest.

He was pulled off for James Milner, and didn’t look too happy about it. Why should he? It was a truly underwhelming performance from the 22-year-old.

Centre-back: Jordan Henderson – 5

You cannot attach any blame to Henderson for the overall performance – seemingly he was quite comfortable in an unfamiliar role.

However, his positioning in the offside line for the early goal was shoddy and lacked the leadership he always shows.

This takes him down from a six to a five.

Centre-back: Fabinho – 7

Another solid performance on both fronts – defensively and in possession – for the utility Brazilian. I simply cannot say a bad word about any of his performances in the last three games – and perhaps if players took his example, there would have been more than two points taken from them.

Liverpool’s leading player for me.

Left-back: Andy Robertson – 5

The Scot, to his credit, seemingly put an effort in. A grind, shall we say.

But the usually reliable delivery was again off, the decision making was poor, and he never put his bursting lungs to enough use throughout.

Just a bang average performance.
