Liverpool will be looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League as they host Burnley this week.

The Reds have gone winless in their last four top-flight fixtures, with the most recent one being a goalless draw against Manchester United. These results have resulted in Jurgen Klopp’s side dropping to fourth in the Premier League table.

Liverpool plays Burnley on Thursday and will be eager to bag all three points. The Clarets are currently 17th in the Premier League table, four points clear of the relegation zone. Sean Dyche’s side was the only team who managed to get a point at Anfield last season.

Burnley’s last victory against the Reds in Merseyside came back in 1974 – which was Liverpool’s first home defeat under the late Bob Paisley.

While the Clarets’ overall form has been dismal, you never know when they could pull off an upset. Liverpool seem to be the favorites and frankly, an all-cylinder firing is overdue so we could well see one this week.

Now, let’s take a look at the Liverpool lineup that Klopp could field on Thursday and don’t hesitate to leave your comments regarding the same below.

Liverpool lineup: Goalkeeper – Alisson

The Brazilian international was the Man of the Match against Manchester United courtesy of some important saves during the game. It also was his 5th clean sheet of the Premier League this season.

Alisson will undoubtedly start against Burnley and will be looking to go another match without conceding in order to narrow the gap between him and his compatriot Ederson who is currently leading the Golden Glove race with nine to his name so far.

The Brazilian has managed to keep a few clean sheets lately and will be eager to keep another this week. Along with Fulham, Burnley have been the lowest-scoring visitors in the Premier League this season so far so the chances of Alisson not letting a single goal in are high. However, he will have to be as vigilant in goal as he can if he is to prevent Chris Wood and the other opposition attackers from threatening.
