Some Liverpool fans have urged manager Jurgen Klopp to pay attention to one Tottenham Hotspur star.

The Reds play Spurs on Thursday and need to take three points from the fixture, arrest their decline and put in their first meaningful league performance for five games.

By scoring twice against Manchester United in the FA Cup, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah looked like they were getting close to their best – but they need to prove that performance isn’t just as flash in the pan.

Tottenham will be difficult opposition, despite their own shaky form. Jose Mourinho’s side has won just two of their last six games, but they’re a good team who pack a punch.

Liverpool fans are aware of this and have urged Klopp to pay attention to one of their main stars, and it’s not Harry Kane or Son Heung-min.

The man they are worried about is Tanguy Ndombele, the man who has revitalised his White Hart Lane career and is now undroppable.

Ndombele scored twice in the FA Cup against Wycombe and oozed class. Joe Hart and Rio Ferdinand loved what the former Lyon man brought to the Tottenham side – as Football London reported.

"Ferdinand said: “I said to Joe, how good is he? And he said ‘this kid is a world-beater, he can do anything.’ He just turned around during the game and said ‘this kid is unplayable.'”"

Liverpool must stop Ndombele

Liverpool is going to have to pay attention to the Frenchman. They are lacking in midfield as Fabinho has been forced to play as a centre-back but should have Jordan Henderson back as Joel Matip has been carded to start the Spurs game.

Matip was left out of the Manchester United loss to ensure his fitness for the Premier League game, and his presence in the side will be highly valuable. It’ll allow Henderson to reclaim his place in the engine room, which will be important as Liverpool look to shut down Ndombele.

We what do you think. Is Ndombele the key for this game or do Liverpool need to focus on other players?
