Following a poor run of form, Liverpool will be looking to get back to winning ways as they face Spurs in London on Thursday.

The Reds won their previous meeting against Jose Mourinho’s side last month courtesy of a late header from Roberto Firmino.

Gven how they’ve been performing lately, it won’t be easy for Jurgen Klopp’s side to register a win against a Tottenham team that is pretty good.

Some might say that this is a good time to face Liverpool, so a victory over the North London team would certainly silence the critics for some time.

The goals came at Old Trafford last weekend so that was a positive sign – we can hope for more on Thursday.

Liverpool lineup vs Tottenham Hotspur

Liverpool have won their last two away meetings against Spurs but this week’s match might well change that. The hosts could well be the favourites but this might be the game when the team could announce their return to form.

Now, let’s take a look at the Liverpool lineup Klopp could field against Spurs and don’t hesitate to leave your thoughts on the same in the comments.

Alisson

The Brazilian custodian made the foul that resulted in the penalty which saw Burnley become the first team to win a Premier League match in Anfield in a little less than four years. Alisson couldn’t stop Man United from netting three past him and will be eager to put in a strong performance against Spurs.

The 28-year-old managed to keep a clean sheet in the last meeting between the two teams in London and will be aiming to do the same on Thursday. The chances of Alisson winning the Premier League Golden Glove are very bleak given City’s strong defence and right now he can only hope to ensure that Liverpool concedes as little as they can in order to have a healthy goal-difference which might come in handy.

The Brazilian international certainly won’t have it easy against the likes of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son but given his quality, he could well give them a hard time.
