Liverpool lineup vs Spurs: 4-3-3 with Jordan Henderson in midfield
RB – Trent Alexander-Arnold
The 22-year-old has been far from replicating the kind of performances he gave in the last two seasons. However, there is still time for improvement and Alexander-Arnold will be hoping to have a much better outing than he has had in most matches in 20/21.
CB – Joel Matip
The Cameroonian centre-back missed Liverpool’s match against Manchester United but Klopp has said that he was involved in full training. Hence, there’s a good chance that Matip will start in the heart of defence and if that does happen, he’ll be expected to prevent the Spurs attackers from being much of a goal threat.
CB – Fabinho
The Brazilian has done pretty well as a makeshift centre-back and since he is fit, he will partner Matip in central defence on Thursday. Fabinho will have quite a tough task as he will shoulder the responsibility of facing the likes of Kane and Son in what is a pretty important match for Liverpool.
LB – Andy Robertson
The Scottish international has been in fine form this season, defensively and offensively. He provided the assist for Firmino’s winner at Anfield and will be eager to grab another assist or two on Thursday. Robertson will also be looking to be solid at the back and prevent the opposition attackers from threatening Liverpool’s goal.
