Right-back: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 4.5

Trent was far from at it today. An observation by Goal sums up his afternoon. The 22-year-old lost possession with 35.2 % of his touches today.

His involvement in the side’s goal helps him escape some liability for otherwise sub-standard performance.

Centre-back: Ozan Kabak– 4

It was Kabak’s debut, and until the last 15 minutes, he seemed to have done pretty well. Although Vardy did get the better of him occasionally, Kabak never left himself get into any position of extreme vulnerability.

In the second half though, his mixup with Alisson cost the side the game. Further, the Turkish-man left Barnes with too much space for the final goal.

Centre-back: Jordan Henderson – 7

Liverpool’s best player by a country mile today. Hendo was pushing the side ahead on numerous occasions and often looked like he wanted the win more than anyone else.

He fashioned a couple of opportunities from centre-back as well. However, Mane and Salah, the recipients of his long-balls failed to make most of the skipper’s incredible vision. He deserved the win today.

Left-back: Andy Robertson – 4.5

Another average performance from Robbo. Although he showed signs of getting back to his best in the first 45, he was almost invisible in the second 45.

The Scotsman had a couple of good opportunities to cross the ball from threatening positions in the first half, but he chose to smash it instead.
