Right-back: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 8.5

Trent was heavily involved in Liverpool’s attacking play in the first half. The 22-year-old created golden opportunities for Mo and Bobby, however, neither of them could convert.

His defensive side to the game was brilliant as well, ensuring he stayed mistake-free throughout the game, unlike recent games.

Centre-back: Ozan Kabak– 8.5

Kabak was given his Liverpool Champions League debut last night. I was critical of his Premier League debut, but he more than made up for the game against Leicester.

He wasn’t dribbled past all game and was also impressive with his tackles and clearances. He’ll be hoping to carry this kind of form for the rest of the season.

Centre-back: Jordan Henderson – 7

Another decent shift from Hendo at an unnatural position for himself. The skipper was vocal as ever, the loudest on the pitch by a country mile.

However, his positioning wasn’t the best against Leipzig, letting their forward players through occasionally. The one that strikes is Hwang Hee-chan’s chance towards the end of the game.

Left-back: Andy Robertson – 8

One of Liverpool’s most consistent players, Robbo, put in another formidable performance yesterday. The Scotsman was marauding up and down the wing as per usual.

His standout moment was the audacious chip which he tried from near the half-way line, nearly catching Gulacsi out.
