Following their win over Leipzig in Budapest, Liverpool will be eager to grab three points against rivals Everton this weekend.

The last Merseyside Derby was a pretty eventful match at Goodison Park which ended in a 2-2 draw. Of course, Jurgen Klopp’s side suffered one of the worst moments of their season as Virgil van Dijk sustained a potentially season-ending injury.

Jordan Henderson seemed to have won the match for Liverpool towards the end but his goal was ruled out for offside.

Liverpool predicted team vs Everton

The Reds will be eager to get back to winning ways in the Premier League and keep their top four hopes alive by beating their city rivals who haven’t won any of their last three top-flight meetings. Carlo Ancelotti’s side will be entering the match at the back of a 1-3 defeat to Manchester City.

Everton last won a match at Anfield in 1999 and will be keen on making things worse for their rivals. The Toffees do have some good players who can make life very difficult for Liverpool. However, the Reds have a strong team and a very good chance of grabbing all three points against their rivals.

Now, let’s take a look at the XI Klopp could field against Everton.

Alisson

The Brazilian international had a pretty good game against Leipzig after his poor outings against Man City and Leicester. He made a crucial save in the start of the second half to deny Christopher Nkunku a chance to open the scoring.

Alisson will undoubtedly be in goal against Everton and he’ll be looking to produce a solid performance. The 28-year-old hasn’t kept a Premier League clean sheet since the goalless draw against Manchester United but he’ll be in high spirits after not conceding versus Leipzig and will be keen on having a similar outing this weekend.

Alisson will have to be at his very best if he is to prevent the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison from finding the net. The Brazilian has had a few doubters over the past few weeks and we can hope to see him prove them wrong on Saturday.
