Furious Liverpool fans want to see one big star gone after his performance against Chelsea in the Premier League.

The Reds struggled against the Blues as they fell to a 1-0 loss in a season-defining game. Mason Mount scored for Thomas Tuchel’s side as they left Anfield with all three points and a crushed Jurgen Klopp.

Dreams have turned into nightmares on Merseyside for Liverpool. At the turn of the year, they were top of the league – now this squad may have to settle for a place in the Europa League.

Liverpool and Roberto Firmino are struggling

Klopp’s side has been horrendous moving forward over the past five games, and it took until the 90th minute for Liverpool to register a shot on target. Even worse than that, it was midfielder Gini Wijnaldum who had it.

Mohamed Salah has carried the front three this whole campaign, and it just got worse throughout this particularly disappointing 90 minutes. None of the team’s recognised forwards registered a shot on target for the whole game.

Sadio Mane was bad, but furious fans singled Roberto Firmino – who has been a shadow of his former self.

Firmino has been poor this whole campaign, but as he’s got older and he’s been rested less and less, that’s to be expected. Liverpool have no rotation options while Diogo Jota isn’t considered for selection.

Klopp has no other choice

Divock Origi is never going to get anywhere near the first team, so at the moment those players out of form are stuck in a horrific loop where they play badly, get criticised, play badly and get criticised more.

There’s no chance for Firmino or Mane to rest their legs and get off this horrible merry-go-round for a few weeks. Will we seek Bobby around next season? If some of these irate fans have their way, maybe not.
