Right-wing: Mohamed Salah

After his goal against Leipzig on Thursday, Salah reached 25 goals for the 2020/21 season, the highest out of any player from the Premier League. (This was before Harry Kane scored twice in his Europa League game the next day)

The Egyptian is key to the goal-threat that Liverpool carry, and will be hoping to extend his lead in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot, which he lost out on last season.

Striker: Diogo Jota

Jota’s return from injury cannot be more timely with Roberto Firmino himself suffering from a knee injury. The Portuguese striker has started both of Liverpool’s recent games, and although he hasn’t scored in either, his impact on chance-creation is evident.

He missed a few clear chances in the mid-week clash vs Leipzig, but nevertheless with more time on the pitch, the goals will come.

Left-wing: Sadio Mane

The left-winger hasn’t scored in his last six Premier League appearances, which is a bit of a worry. However, goals in both the legs of the Round of 16 clash against Leipzig, does suggest that he isn’t completely out of touch.

Mane scored on three occasions against Wolves in 2019, and will hope that he can replicate the same in 2021, starting tomorrow.
