The 2020-2021 Premier League season will come to a close on Sunday afternoon at Anfield when Liverpool take on Crystal Palace. With wins over Southampton, Manchester United, West Brom, and Burnley, the Reds are in fourth place. All they need to do is beat Crystal Palace this weekend, and they will complete their miracle finish to this grueling campaign.

Let’s take a look at a handful of players who could be decisive for Liverpool on Matchday 38 of the Premier League.

RB Trent Alexander-Arnold

We begin with Trent Alexander-Arnold who has been a heroic figure for the Reds over the past few matches. He had five key passes in both wins over Manchester United and West Brom, per WhoScored.com, recording an assist in both matches. It was his corner that led to Alisson’s dream winner at the very end of that win over the Baggies.

Alexander-Arnold didn’t have as profound of an impact offensively against Burnley – it was Andrew Robertson’s time to shine with a double of assists – but he was very, very good defensively in the clean sheet victory.

The 22-year-old will have Liverpool’s toughest matchup against Premier League veteran and former United man Wilfried Zaha on Sunday. But he should be equal to it, given his form.
