FW Divock Origi

Divock Origi is the best out of the five players on this list of possible sales for Liverpool, and thus he can fetch the most money in a transfer. The reality is that Origi was weighed down by too high expectations after some promising bits of form. He has some skill and finishing ability, and his movement off the ball is highly intelligent. Origi is a great team player who works hard and makes good decisions. The problem is that he’s just not dynamic enough to be a forward for an elite side like the Reds.

That said, it’s easy to forget that Origi is only 26 years old. He still has a handful of very good years ahead of him. Teams will like this and will be willing to pay Liverpool a significant fee, especially if they think they can get more out of him as a starter. Origi would have to take a step down, but there are teams in multiple leagues around Europe who could do very well to sign a versatile player like Origi capable of creating and scoring goals himself.

The “multiple leagues” comment is especially interesting when discussing Origi. He has scored more than five goals in a league campaign in three different leagues. He accomplished this feat first at Lille in Ligue 1, then with Liverpool, and then with Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga all in consecutive years.

Let’s see exactly how much Liverpool can fetch for Origi and what kind of offers are out there, considering his lack of involvement in 2020-2021.
