CM Alex Oxlade Chamberlain

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain showed that he still has some value to Liverpool or another club by scoring a late goal against Burnley. He was hyped up too soon at Arsenal, and that did him a disservice. But he’s another guy who has quietly carved out a decent career despite bloated initial expectations, and he’s really done well in his conversion to central midfield under Jurgen Klopp. At times, he’s put in crucial shifts for the Reds in moments that were demanding.

Oxlade Chamberlain is an easy bet to sell, though. Whereas he could play a niche role to a degree higher than the others on this list, Liverpool probably want to move on in midfield. Selling Ox for a decent fee could also help them afford someone younger and with more dynamism in midfield.

This past season, the 27-year-old played under 250 minutes in the Premier League and was very much a fringe player. He did score seven goals between the Premier League and Champions League, though, even proving useful in the latter competition. And he had three goals and seven assists for the Reds in his first season with the club in 2017-2018.

Because of injuries and the need to rebuild, it’s hard for Liverpool to trust Ox too much. He’s a serviceable player, but it’s honestly better for the Reds to cash in and allow Ox to fight for a bigger role at a different club, likely still in England.
