Juventus, PSG, Real Madrid. We have seen Liverpool right winger Mohamed Salah linked to a few elite clubs in transfer rumors this year, and that’s no surprise. Which fanbase wouldn’t dream of signing one of the world’s most prolific goal-scorers and one of the few left-footed players capable of consistently scoring 30 goals in a season across all competitions?

Salah is a one-of-a-kind superstar who has operated at the highest level for the Reds for YEARS. He was one of the best players in the Premier League yet again this past season, playing a vital role in Liverpool finishing third in the league despite facing mounting injuries and dealing with goal-scoring droughts from the other forwards.

The transfer rumors regarding Salah may be disconcerting to some, particularly when there are rumors that PSG want to sign him as Kylian Mbappe’s replacement if the current No. 7 in Paris were to fill his idol Cristiano Ronaldo’s shoes at Real Madrid. Whenever PSG is linked to a player, they have the money to create some sort of a fear factor.

But Kopites should fear not. I don’t see any way that Salah leaves Liverpool this summer. I can’t even comprehend Liverpool selling such an important player to the team who is so unique in what he offers to this club.

None of the Mohamed Salah transfer rumors make a bit of sense

Salah is part of the soul of Liverpool. So much of what Jurgen Klopp does works because of Salah’s goal-scoring ability and relentless pursuit of defenders in the final third. Without his 22 goals and 5 assists in the Premier League, as well as an additional six goals in the Champions League, Liverpool would have been in serious trouble.

The Reds are not going to accept any offer for Salah. Even an outlandish one would not sway them, because by that stage of the transfer window, they would not be able to sign anyone to replace Salah. Therefore, the money would not help them, so why even take the cash?

There is are rumors that Liverpool would sell Salah to buy Mbappe or Jadon Sancho. I don’t see that happening. Salah occupies a different role than those two on the right-hand side as a left-footed goal-scorer. Sancho is more of an all-around creator, so swapping Salah for him leaves a void of goals. And obviously, a straight-up swap is impossible in that case. Mbappe for Salah would not work either, since Mbappe probably would not want a move to Liverpool, nor would the finances in a straight-up swap work out.

When you actually run through all the transfer rumor scenarios that purport a Salah exit, you see they are all baseless in logic. The Liverpool legend is staying for another season, and everyone involved with the club is better off for that. If more rumors surface, kindly disregard them. Salah doesn’t want to go anywhere, and there is no sporting, financial, or intangible reason for a move.
