Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of a kind.

When you think of up-and-coming defenders in all of football, Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of a kind. The right-back does more than defend. More specifically, he attacks, takes placekicks, and, more importantly, possesses the world-class pace to contend against the world’s best attackers. As a result, he has recently been awarded high honors from his football peers and entertainment partners.

Considering he possesses so much talent at just the age of 23, the Reds are in an exciting position before his contract expires in 2025.

Why does extending Alexander-Arnold’s contract two years early make sense for Liverpool?

Trent Alexander-Arnold will only be 25 years old two years before his contract ends in 2025, which will induce a wise business decision for Liverpool. If the club were to wait in his final two years to extend him, there is a very high potential that the large clubs will offer more than what the home team can offer. Moreover, the sooner, the better is the route for extending a core team player who is already a world-class defender at such a young age. Alexander-Arnold will command the most significant extension price tag of all the players mentioned in this extension piece. Above all, he is a homegrown talent for the club, and he is more than worthy of a rich contract that will propel him to stay in Liverpool for a very long time.
