Liverpool will face a club that has not played in over two weeks.
Liverpool FC is coming off a sound win this past Thursday against Newcastle United; however, their English Premier League test tomorrow will prove to be a unique challenge. The Reds will face Tottenham Hotspur, who has not competed since December 5th due to Covid-19 cancellations and postponements. The Spurs will be rested and, more than likely, eager and ready to go in their home stadium. Ultimately, it may prove to be an uphill battle for Jürgen Klopp’s side, arguably, their biggest challenge of the EPL season to date if it transpires.
The match may be postponed due to Covid-19, marking Liverpool’s first alteration of the EPL season.
As new Covid-19 variants spread like wildfire worldwide, Liverpool has been fortunate not to be impacted by the virus until recently. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of Tottenham, as they have had a myriad of both players and staff members affected in recent weeks. Nevertheless, the match between the two clubs is scheduled to go on, and hopefully, it will not be postponed on short notice as other matches around the EPL have been in recent times.
Disgraceful that games are being postponed this late. No regard for supporters and no regard for impact of thousands of people travelling on public transport in a pandemic. Surely we are at a stage where if there is any doubt at all games have to be called off the night before.

Presuming that there is no cancellation as the contest is almost less than twelve hours away, here are a few keynotes to consider for the action on the pitch tomorrow.
If tomorrow’s game for Liverpool isn’t postponed, here are a few keynotes to keep in mind.
Liverpool will be facing a Tottenham side that is currently ranked in seventh place in the EPL, despite only playing fourteen matches to date on the season. More specifically, since new manager Antonio Conte has taken over duties as the Spurs’ manager on November 2nd of this year, his side has not been defeated in domestic action. Furthermore, THFC’s defense has not allowed over one goal in those domestic games since the sacking of their short-lived former manager Nuno Espírito Santo. However, while admirable, Conte’s defenders will be put to the test as the Reds’ Mohamed Salah is on the verge of breaking yet another record.
🤝 Mo Salah has equalised Jamie Vardy’s record of 15 consecutive Premier League goal contributions from 2015.

🤔 Will Salah break the record against Tottenham at the weekend?

Most importantly, this will be a thrilling matchup for both clubs as there is both a streak and record within the match.
