Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has been at the center of many debates in the past few days.
After relatively smooth sailing for the majority of the season, Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has entered some rough seas in recent times. Klopp’s battles with English Premier League referees have been noted most recently.
However, what he stated regarding the upcoming January transfer window and vaccines should turn the masses’ heads a little more. Moreover, his beliefs surrounding players’ Covid-19 status will tangibly leave a larger footprint on the club than him scolding Paul Tierney ever could.
Liverpool will not acquire any players that have not been vaccinated against Covid-19.
Klopp’s decision to not bring on any players to Liverpool FC that have not been vaccinated is quite the decision. The LFC boss views anyone who doesn’t have the vaccine and is around the club as a threat. It is quite the decision not for his views on the vaccine, but instead more given that there are still many football players around the world who are not vaccinated. More specifically, 25% of EPL players are not vaccinated as it stands today. With uncertainty regarding the virus and the hesitancy of those to become vaccinated, the Reds may miss out on some quality players in next month’s transfer window.
Based on Klopp’s decision, Liverpool may miss out on a few transfer targets.
While many players’ vaccination status remains relatively sure, it is uncertain how far they are in the booster process. This will make a crucial transfer window next month even more delicate for LFC.
