Liverpool’s Klopp believes that the Reds’ supporters are the best gift anyone has this Christmas.

The past few years have been difficult with Covid-19 and fan access in the English Premier League, but Liverpool FC manager Jürgen Klopp is thrilled with the clubs’ supporters this Christmas Day.

“Having you back inside a full Anfield is without any question the absolute highlight of my year. One of the main reasons that make this club so special, so different, is you. Wednesday night’s game was the perfect example of the power of Anfield, why it must be a place every opponent hates to play. Without your support, the boys’ comeback would have been much more difficult. But we did it and we did it together.” via – Anfield Watch

His words reign true, as the Reds’ supporters were undoubtedly heard in the team’s most recent FA Cup thriller against Leicester City. As a result, he covers that and much more in a special interview for LFC.

With that being said, LFC fans are hoping for one Christmas gift.

Will Liverpool star Mo Salah receive a contract extension today?

The rumor mill swirling around the Egyptian standout for Liverpool is in full force on this Christmas Day, as the club’s manager believes that progress has been made in contract talks in a recent interview.

While Jürgen wouldn’t admit to a pinned-down timeframe of when a new contract for the world’s best striker would arrive, he did express that progress is being made. For a Liverpool fanbase that has seen the team fight through adversity this season, one could only wonder whether or not the club could announce a Mohamed Salah contract extension later today. Ultimately, it would be the cherry on top for many individuals’ Christmas’ and, most importantly, ensure that the team’s best player remains a Red for the remainder of this career. Stay tuned for a potentially big announcement on Rush the Kop’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
