Forwards

Sadio Mané – 4

Mane continued to struggle on the ball, with a much looser, sloppier touch than is typically attributed to the Senegalese forward, resulting in a number of broken attacks and turnovers. He even had a perfect run-in with an open shot on Schmeichel but forced it over the crossbar. He is arguably causing the Liverpool attack more harm than benefit, and has now been unable to register a goal or assist since November 22 against Arsenal.

Mo Salah – 5

Salah missed from the spot for just the second time in his Premier League career in the 13th minute, with a weak strike within Schmeichel’s diving reach. He then headed the rebound into the crossbar. Other than one other strong shot for a brilliant Schmeichel save, that was about it on Tuesday for Mo. The Egyptian struggled to break through strong coverage from Wilfred Ndidi and was dispossessed three times.

Diogo Jota – 5

Jota had an extremely quiet first half following one shot blocked early on. Jota went on to create a decent (but wasted) opportunity for Mane and later pulled his own header wide.

Subs

Naby Keita (for Oxlade-Chamberlain, 55′) – 5

Keita followed trend with his Reds teammates on Tuesday in being largely unimpactful.

James Milner (for Fabinho, 64′) – 6

Milner served as a nice energy boost defensively for the Reds, but but failed to make much of an offensive impact and even gave the ball away a number of times.

Roberto Firmino (for Henderson, 70′) – 4

Bobby made little to no impact after coming in late for Henderson. In fact, the only noteworthy thing Firmino was involved in was bumping into Matip on the Reds’ final corner opportunity.
