In case you missed it, Liverpool FC and Chelsea FC combined for one of the most thrilling matches this season in the English Premier League. From start to finish, it provided a little bit of everything. Specifically, less than 10 seconds into the match, Sadio Mané drew a yellow card on a reckless challenge. From that point forward, Chelsea was dominated time of possession and seemingly made it seem as if the Reds were in for a long afternoon. However, a struggling Liverpool player finally broke his drought to open up the scoring action.
This ended Mané’s 9 consecutive matches where he was held without a goal. Sadio put Liverpool up 1-0, and his AFCON counterpart quickly followed up with a score of his own.
Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is a magician.
LFC has seen plenty of incredible feats from their star winger Mohamed Salah. However, what he did against Chelsea on Sunday still has many in awe. A perfect ball from teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold generated this beautiful goal.

Within 25 minutes of action, the Reds’ enjoyed a 2-0 lead at Stamford Bridge over Chelsea. However, the Lions would come storming back. Despite not leading the contest in possession, the Reds made the most of their early opportunities. A strong counterattack and the team’s high pressure gave the acting manager Pepijn Lijnders’ side plenty of chances early. However, a confident CFC goalkeeper and some magic brought their side storming back in the most thunderous of ways before the half came to an end.
