Gordon showed off his potential against Shrewsbury Town and became the second-youngest goal-scorer in Liverpool’s history. But, for someone so young, his composure was that of a 15 year veteran on the pitch.

There's a level of composure and fearlessness in Gordon that shouldn't really exist at 17. Deserved the Anfield ovation. pic.twitter.com/m9bdcmqaAU
While Gordon’s performance was stunning, this contest did not begin on a high note for the Reds.
After a sluggish start, Liverpool quickly pulled away against Shrewsbury Town.
Not many expected the Blues to start with the opening score, but a brilliant strike from striker Daniel Udoh put Shrewsbury up 1-0 midway through the first half. After Kaide Gordon’s opening act, Fabinho joined in on the action after LFC was awarded a penalty. Safe to say, the Brazillian made the most of his opportunity. That wasn’t his only contribution, though, as he scored one more in stoppage time of the contest to ensure the team’s 4-1 victory. Both his and Gordon’s performances were world-class today, and the final star from today’s match has warmed the hearts of all Liverpool fans.
Roberto Firmino’s appearance today was inspiring.
Of late, A Reds star has been limited due to COVID-19 and injuries, but today he entered the match as a substitute and made his presence felt.

Roberto Firmino’s beautiful goal shows that he is still a player who can make a difference on the field. Despite only being an early FA Cup fixture, this score should bode well for his confidence and form moving forward in all matches. Liverpool will need him and the other contributors mentioned above to perform next month. Next up for the club is the first leg of the Carabao Cup at home against Arsenal this Thursday.
