Liverpool, Fabinho dominate Brentford 3-0 without key players

Forwards
Diogo Jota – 6
Jota had a relatively inconsequential first half as he seemed unable to find any space to work with or get any decent touches in. Jota was able to find a few brilliant chances in the second but was denied by the post and a close-range save by Fernandez before being subbed off.
Roberto Firmino – 7
Firmino struggled to be a shooting threat against Brentford but finished with 90% pass accuracy, including an assist on Minamino’s goal off a misplay from Brentford keeper Fernandez – a play that began with Firmino charging into the box to intercept Fernandez’s pass.
Subs
Takumi Minamino (73′ for Oxlade-Chamberlain) – 8
Minamino calmly put the Reds up 3-0 just minutes after coming onto the pitch, cashing in on a muffed play from Fernandez. A very happy 27th birthday present for him!
James Milner (78′ for Firmino) – 6
Just didn’t see much of Milly in the time he was on. He had a few touches but nothing of any note.
Kaida Gordon (’81 for Jota) – 7
Nearly scored in his Premier League debut shortly after being subbed in, but fired the shot straight to Fernandez. Happy debut day to Gordon!
