The young French star who was on every European club’s lips last season, Eduardo Camavinga rose to fame in Ligue 1 with Rennes before making a summer switch to La Liga with global giants Real Madrid.

Now, despite coming to Spain with a truckload of talent and hype Camavinga has failed to recapture the form which saw him touted to be France’s next big star since arriving at the Santiago Bernabeau.

Spanish news outlet El Nacional claims the 19-year-old is looking for a way out of life in Spain and Liverpool could be the next destination for him.

With a Gini Wijnaldum sized hole still needing to be filled in Liverpool’s squad the teenage French midfielder certainly fits the bill for Jurgen Klopp.

However, Camavinga reportedly turned down Klopp and Liverpool last summer in favour of joining Real Madrid which suggests his head may already be made up on the matter of moving to Anfield.

Furthermore, a £50 million price tag has been slapped upon Camavinga which may put off Liverpool’s frugal FSG owners; a story that is becoming all too familiar with LFC fans.

Despite this EL Nacional seem to think the teenager wouldn’t dream of saying no to Jurgen Klopp twice and given the opportunity would jump to be part of the exciting setup the German coach has created.

On top of that Camavinga ticks, a lot of boxes for the type of player Liverpool needs to buy. He can play in several positions across the midfield, is still very young, and can be molded by Klopp into something far greater and promising than his current Bernabeu benchwarmer position.

It remains to be seen whether a move will be made, but with Liverpool’s clear lack of midfield depth and creativity, Camavinga could prove to be the man who has the quality we need to push forward.
