Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 8
Oxlade-Chamberlain came out swinging and energetic on Sunday, immediately working on getting involved offensively. He had three shots, including one into the side netting, not long before scoring on a beautiful collect and finish off an aerial Robertson cross. He also had two successful tackles before being subbed off early in the second half.
Diogo Jota – 7
Jota had a rough, physical game, unable to get anything going on the ball himself but was decent off of it. He created two chances and had one shot on target, but his most crucial contribution was successfully drawing a controversial penalty call that led to the Reds’ third goal.
Roberto Firmino – 6
Firmino suffered the same fate as many of his teammates in this one, unfortunately, in being threatening in the first half and nearly disappearing in the second. He won four of six aerials and had two successful tackles but was otherwise quiet and was booked before being subbed toward the end of the match.
Takumi Minamino (60′ for Oxlade-Chamberlain) – 5
Despite the amount of play time, Minamino failed to get involved after being subbed on.
James Milner (90′ for Firmino) – N/A
Hi Milly! Nice to see you for a few minutes.
Joe Gomez (90+2′ for Alexander-Arnold) – N/A
Gomez managed two quick clearances on last-second Crystal Palace attacks.
