Midfielders

Fabinho – 8

Fabinho did his best to hold down a midfield that looked extremely sloppy throughout a massive 120-minute match, and he did rather well at that. Fabinho finished with a pitch-leading 93% pass success that was desperately needed for the Reds today. He also chipped in on defense with two interceptions and one clearance.

Naby Keita – 6

With Thiago injured in warm-ups, Keita was slotted to start just before kick-off on Sunday. Whether that was a factor or not, he struggled early on with pass inaccuracy and a number of sloppy touches before managing one decent low driving shot on goal before halftime. The second half did not bring much improvement for Keita, who continued to look sloppy and was called for a high kick to the groin of Chalobah. He was subbed off in the 79th minute.

Jordan Henderson – 5

Henderson struggled on Sunday, especially compared to a number of recent brilliantly clean performances in the midfield. He finished with a dismal 74% pass success, just 39 touches, one for two on tackles, and was dribbled on. Definitely not the skipper’s finest showing, and he was subbed off in the second half.
