Midfielders

Jordan Henderson – 7

Henderson struggled to connect with the forwards for most of the game, finishing with 73% pass accuracy. He had two tackles, one interception, and one clearance. Henderson found one shot on net denied by Sanchez but had little else of note in this match.

Fabinho – 6

Fabinho played fine on Saturday, which is uncharacteristically poor for the normally phenomenal midfielder. He seemed to struggle defensively early on and never seemed to gain his footing. Fabinho finished with 78% pass accuracy, 3 tackles, and was booked.

Naby Keita – 7

Keita’s biggest contribution on Saturday came off a shot blocked by the arm of a Brighton defender to allow Salah to score the penalty kick. Besides that, it was a very quiet afternoon for Keita, contributing little more than a decent 86% pass accuracy.
