Forwards

Sadio Mane – 4

Mane had a rough game on Wednesday night and was lucky to avoid being booked early on. He beamed the Reds’ best chance in the first half over the crossbar just before the halftime break and played himself offsides unnecessarily on a play that ended up with him scoring before the flag going up nullified the goal. He was relatively silent the rest of the match.

Luis Diaz – 5

Diaz struggled to get anything going, even with the speed and aggression that Liverpool fans have already gotten used to from him. Diaz could not find a shot, only managed 27 touches, and was subbed off early in the second half.

Diogo Jota – 6

Jota had a quiet, sloppy first half with too many loose touches and failing to make any sort of space for himself off the ball. Jota made up for it with a beautiful shot beating Ramsdale at an angle just inside the near post for the opener and was subbed off immediately after. Jota has scored seven goals against Arsenal in seven games since joining Liverpool.

Substitutions

Bobby Firmino (56′ for Diaz) – 7

Firmino used what little space he could find inside the box wisely to set himself up to receive Robertson’s cross for the tap-in goal.

Mohamed Salah (56′ for Jota) – 6

Glad to see Salah well enough to come off the bench after his minor foot injury over the weekend. Managed one shot off target and had two blocked.

Curtis Jones (90′ for Thiago) – N/A

Always good to see Jones getting some minutes.
