Liverpool top the Premier League, Thiago masterclass against Watford

Forwards
Mohamed Salah – 5
Salah was extremely well contained by Watford’s Hassane Kamara, which seemed to frustrate and exhausted the Egyptian. He was dispossessed five times and managed just two shots, one blocked and one off target, before being subbed off in the second half.
Diogo Jota – 7
Jota scored his 20th goal of the season across all competitions by, no surprise, using his head. He positioned himself well inside the Watford box to head in the beautiful cross from Gomez to open the scoring. He stayed aggressive, nearly netting a second goal again at close range but was stopped by an excellent save from Watford’s Ben Foster. He did waste a few opportunities, sending over the crossbar and even high into the Kop numerous times.
Roberto Firmino – 6
Firmino wasn’t given much room to work with on the attack on Saturday and struggled to make anything happen with the ball. He was dispossessed twice in the first half. He began to find more space in the second half but was not able to do too much with it. Firmino finished with three shots, all blocked, five successful tackles, and a 92% pass accuracy on 33 passes.
