Images of Liverpool’s alleged home kit for the 2022/2023 season have surfaced online and fans won’t have to wait long to cop the shirt with the general release date set for May 19th.

The Liverpool shirt will be the third season Nike have sponsored the club with their iconic swoosh placed beside the Merseyside team’s iconic Liver bird crest.

As for the new home shirt, it differs from this campaign’s graphics-based kit and it seems Nike have opted for a more classic and simplistic design, something that fans of vintage-style football shirts will be pleased to hear.

A darker shade of red has been added to the new home kit which contrasts well with the white and beige coloured badge and sponsors.

The back of the collar of the new shirt also features a new number of 97, in memory of those involved in the Hillsborough tragedy.

Based on past releases, the first place you’ll probably be able to purchase the 2022/2023 Liverpool home kit will be on Liverpool’s official club store on their website. However, you should also be able to grab the home shirt on Nike’s website under the Liverpool section.

What do you think of the leaked images of Liverpool’s new 2022/2023 home kit, will you be copping it? Or do you think the kit is another unnecessary change to provide a cash cow for Nike? Let us know in the comments below!
