Carabao Cup deja vu, Liverpool win FA Cup in penalty shootout

Midfielders

Jordan Henderson – 8

Playing center midfielder in place of Fabinho, out with injury, Henderson put up a massive performance Saturday in being composed on the ball and maintaining that calm in the midfield usually brought by Fabinho. Henderson finished with a stellar 91% pass accuracy on 58 passes, had 2 tackles and had a great clearance on an Alonso cross in extra time.

Thiago – 7

Thiago continued in his nearly perfect passing, finishing with 88% pass accuracy on 65 passes, a huge contribution to a match where accuracy on the ball was a major issue on both sides, including two chances created. He also won 2 aerials and had 3 tackles in his marathon performance. Scored in penalties.

Naby Keita – 6

Keita had a quiet match on Saturday, in that he did not make many errors necessarily but did not contribute anything massive either. He was subbed in the middle of the second half and finished with one of the only shots on target, 2 key passes, 85% pass success on 34 passes and two tackles.
