There have been numerous reports over the last few weeks that Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino was ready to leave Anfield in search of more first-team football.

Romano Tweeted out on his official account “Roberto Firmino confirms he has no intention to leave: ‘I love this team, city and fans. I’m here at Liverpool and I want to stay’ the forward tells news outlet TNT Brazil.

“Juventus have never opened talks to sign Firmino, not even discussed by agents or clubs despite rumours.”

This will be music to the ears of the Anfield faithful, who see Bobby as a key cog in the squad and have voiced their opinions online of their desire for him to stay at the club.

Firmino has made 328 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 98 goals and assisting his teammates 74 times in one of the team’s most successful periods.

The 30-year-old has won it all under Jurgen Klopp, adding the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, Super Cup and the FA Community Sheild to his trophy cabinet.
