Milner came on in the second half to give the midfield a much needed boost after the injury to Thiago, and generally being sloppy.  Now I’ll admit I wasn’t terribly pleased with Klopp bringing on a 37-year-old to provide a scoring boost, however his veteran presence proved valuable as the Reds were able to claw back with him on the pitch.  The midfield is already banged up to start the season; Milner could be a key figure going forward.
