There has been plenty of buzz surrounding the Uruguayan youngster since his £85 million transfer to Liverpool in June. A lot of people have said that the fee was too high. People are saying it doesn’t compare to Manchester City’s signing of Erling Haaland. Let me say this, he will live up to his contract. He’s already made a splash, scoring four goals in a friendly this summer as a halftime substitution.

Today, Nunez opened the scoring for the Reds after coming on in the second half, his first Premier League goal. If that wasn’t enough, he also assisted Salah’s equalizer. The future is bright for Darwin Nunez, and Klopp should immediately be starting him in the front three. Bobby Firmino is not the answer for Sadio Mane’s departure, Darwin Nunez is.
