For quite some time, Liverpool has been interested in bringing midfield star Jude Bellingham to Anfield. The club is so keen on getting the English midfielder that it has opted to ignore all other prospects in order to focus only on the youngster.

A number of premier teams in Europe are interested in signing the player, including Real Madrid, PSG, Manchester City, and Manchester United. Bellingham certainly has a lot of things to think over, and he has to do so thoughtfully for the sake of his future.

This choice and struggle for his signing benefits a party other than the player himself – his present club Borussia Dortmund, which will charge a high transfer fee for him before releasing him. Clubs have apparently begun to verify their funds in order to fulfill this requirement.

Dortmund would almost certainly want a high price for him, given that his contract does not expire until the summer of 2025. However, until today, his transfer price had just been predicted, with no firm estimate.

Dortmund has set a lower ceiling on Bellingham’s fee, and Liverpool should brace up

Following the World Cup, there was more debate about Bellingham’s desired destination, as well as another hot prospect being pursued by teams, Enzo Fernandez, who recently won a World Cup gold in Qatar.

Chelsea signed the Argentine on January transfer deadline day for a rumored sum of over 107 million pounds. The Blues have secured yet another high-priced deal, which was widely anticipated and watched across Europe. In addition to Chelsea’s financial credentials, Enzo Fernandez’s hiring has also had an influence on the Bellingham future sale.

Dortmund were actively tracking all events in the Enzo transfer when deciding on Bellingham’s asking price, according to a report from Christian Falk via Caught Offside, and it is stated that the German club has opted to set a reasonable benchmark on their seek for the English sensation.

They believe that Bellingham’s move will be more expensive than Fernandez’s and have so set a lower bar for any team seeking him, stating that their offer letter should not be less than that at least. The upper limit is, of course, the sky.

With their ongoing issues with owners unwilling to spend on transfers, Liverpool will have to strive to get at least 107 million pounds in order to even be in the competition. The bidding war is about to commence, and banks are going to break. We are unsure about Liverpool’s level of readiness at this time.
