Liverpool is going through a period unlike any other in recent years. There is a clear and pressing need for a full renovation, which the team sorely demands. To mark the opening of the renovation effort, the club has designated Jude Bellingham as the top suitor.

The English star is being sought by a number of teams throughout Europe, including Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Manchester City, making competition for him extremely fierce.

Although it has been said before that Liverpool are leading the chase for him, there are concerns about the club’s capacity to pass him up due to a lack of finances. That is also a consideration that the other teams in his pursuit, unlike the Merseyside club, have enough of. Dortmund is said to have set a lower circuit price for Bellingham.

It is evident that the battle for Bellingham has not been decided and might go in any direction, therefore Liverpool should have a contingency plan in place if the move fails. A few developments have been noted in this regard.

Liverpool knows the player to pursue if the Bellingham deal falls through

If Bellingham abandons the Reds, it has been suggested by the Daily Mail that Liverpool may return to trying to sign Moises Caicedo. The Brighton star is eager to leave the club and was extensively connected to a number of teams during the January transfer window.

Earlier, the athlete resorted to social media to request that Brighton offer him a transfer elsewhere, which could not be completed due to an apparent dispute. However, he will find it tough to stay beyond the summer window, when it is expected that he would most likely take the flight away.

Aside from Liverpool, Caicedo was reportedly more interested in joining Arsenal than in joining Klopp’s squad. He is undoubtedly being chased by a lot of clubs, and if Liverpool’s deal for Bellingham falls through, Caicedo should be brought in.
