Liverpool struck gold with Stefan Bajcetic, didn’t they? The youngster has emerged as a bright prodigy, advancing through the ranks as he continues to demonstrate the potential for development and improvement.

The skill displayed by Bajcetic is enormous, and with only 18 years old and more than a decade of footballing experience ahead of him, the Spaniard will only grow with time. He put up one of his greatest games in the Merseyside derby, being probably the best Reds player on the field.

He already has complete faith of Jurgen Klopp, who is planning Liverpool’s future with him in mind. Rest assured, Bajcetic will achieve marvels at Anfield, and he is only getting started.

A player of his caliber was desperately required to guide the fresh faces in the midfield, which has mainly underperformed this season. Liverpool will reap the benefits of Bajcetic over time, and knowing how much money they paid to recruit him is icing on the cake.

Liverpool paid a pittance to sign Stefan Bajcetic

According to Neil Jones, the Reds paid nearly nothing for Bajcetic. In January 2021, the youngster joined Liverpool’s junior academy for a fee of only 225,000 pounds. Yes, that is all. I didn’t forget any zeros. Liverpool only had to spend that to bring him in, and based on his performance, he will save the club millions in the future, according to Jones.

The credit for pulling off this incredible deal belongs to Matt Newberry, the academy recruiting chief, who advised the team to sign Bajcetic from Celta Vigo.

We know that this boy will be the face of Liverpool’s rebuilding in the future, as Klopp plans forward with him. After months of boredom, the midfield seemed renewed and enlivened under his presence.

The most exciting aspect is that he still has a lot to learn, and under the tutelage of a top manager, we can’t even conceive the miracles Bajcetic will deliver. If things go well in the future, the Spaniard might be considered one of Liverpool’s greatest bargains of all time.
