Liverpool is preparing a massive renovation for next season, and in order to enable the rebuilding and create way for the newcomers, players who are no longer required at the club must be offloaded in great numbers.
According to reports, there is a list of roughly ten players who are expected to go this summer. Many have piqued the curiosity of other teams, while others have yet to find suitable suitors.
The midfield is getting the most attention from Liverpool, and in order to thoroughly revitalize the area, unwanted players will be let go.
One such player is said to be out of the club’s plans for the future, as he is set to leave at the end of the season.
Liverpool plans to unload a recently added player this summer
According to UOL, Brazilian midfielder Arthur Melo’s days at Liverpool are numbered. The player’s time has been exceedingly poor, and owing to his delicate nature and history of injuries, he is nowhere to be found in Jürgen Klopp’s future plans.
Melo has made one appearance with the Reds, playing less than a quarter as he continues to be hampered by injuries and other surgery-related concerns. Even if he wasn’t injured, I don’t think he was ever going to help. To be honest, he was never Liverpool material and is already far past his peak.
Liverpool has chosen to let Melo leave after finishing his loan spell from Juventus without exercising the option to buy, with higher aspirations of strengthening the midfield with more prolific and brilliant talents.
Juventus’ asking price for the player is about 33 million pounds, which is an exorbitant sum to pay for an erratic and injury prone athlete. In order to entice Fans to Anfield, the money would be better spent on stuffing the banks.
The Old Lady does not want to keep the Brazilian either and will most likely sell him when he returns from Liverpool.
