Liverpool have done the unthinkable and qualified for Champions League next year! We hope….

And with hope still alive, here’s how the Reds can topple Manchester United and steal fourth place in the Premier League:

The schedule is there for the taking with home matches versus Fulham, Brentford and Aston Villa. Away at Leicester City and Southampton says five wins is definitely possible meaning Klopp’s boys will finish strong after a year of  inconsistencies.

Sitting in fifth place looking up at Man United (shudder), Liverpool are still seven points behind with games quickly running out. United have do have a game in hand and 63 points but a much tougher run in.

Should Liverpool secure15 more points from five wins, they’d finish with 71 points. Here’s how Man United finishes with less points than our beloved Reds:

At Brighton (May 4) Loss. BHA’s recent form continues as the pressure builds for the Red Devils. Brighton won the last two PL matches vs Man U (home and away) and just lost to them in penalties in the FA Cup last week.

At West Ham (May 7): Loss. The Hammers turn in a resounding home performance to seal three points of its own while sending shockwaves through Mancester. Last time West Ham won at Old Trafford, Sept. 22, 2021, 1-0, Carabao Cup.

Home vs Wolves (May 13): Draw. The away team has won each of the last three PL matches versus these two clubs, all 1-0. Let’s say that streak ends but only give them a draw. Exact score prediction: 0-0.

At AFC Bournemouth (May 20): Win. Bournemouth won at home 1-0 back in 2019 so let’s not count it out. They’ve also won four of their last five so currently in good form.

Home vs Chelsea (May 25): Draw. No one can hope for anything positive from Chelsea here who are already on vacation. But the last five matches from these two have resulted in a draw. Same thing here.

Home vs Fulham (May 28): Win/Draw. At this point, they have 67 points. Liverpool has 68. This leaves some breathing room if Liverpool does have a draw in there. Fulham played ManU to a draw in 2019. Lost the last two.

Crazy things happen in the final month and especially on the final day.

Let’s not forget that our superior goal differential could help if there is a tie in points with Man U. Thank you, 7-0.

Liverpool (56 points): 5 matches remaining, 71 points possible.

Manchester United (63 points): 6 remaining matches, 81 points possible.

If you’re wondering about Newcastle, don’t. They’d need six points in five games to get to 72 with opponents like Leeds, Leicester and Chelsea. Arsenal and Brighton as well but don’t get excited.
