The Premier League returns this weekend as Liverpool will look to continue their strong start to the campaign with a clash at the Molineux Stadium against Wolves. In this article, we are highlighting some players to watch on both sides.

Ryan Gravenberch – The young Dutchman has had a few weeks to settle into life at Anfield and he should be raring to get his Liverpool career fired up. While it is not clear if Jurgen Klopp will deem him worthy of a start, he is still someone to watch for as a substitute.

He has the ability to turn a game on its head so it’ll be interesting to see how he gets utilized to begin his Reds life.

Rayan Aït-Nouri – The Algerian is one of the more underrated fullbacks in the Premier League. He brings an energy to attack and gets forward as often as he can. He is brought up in this piece because this will also mean that Alexander-Arnold will have to keep his wits about him at the back.

Nouri will waste little time bombing into space left at the back. He also puts in dangerous crosses with the best of them.

Pedro Neto – The Portuguese forward is one of the best creative players Wolves has to offer. He is very fun to watch when has room to operate and pick out a pass.

His creative nous should be something the Reds defense cannot ignore.  He already has 3 assists this season and there is a reason for that. He has the tools to unlock any Premier League defense if they don’t watch him closely enough.

Luis Diaz – The Colombian had a hot start to the season as he scored in the first two matches against Chelsea and Bournemouth.

However, he was sacrificed 30 minutes in versus Newcastle after the Virgil red card and did not make a massive impact against Aston Villa before the break.

Nelson Semedo is a right-back that likes to get forward as well and this is something Diaz can take advantage of and he will also force Semedo to stay back when he doesn’t want to. Diaz is a match winner on his best day and Klopp will watch for his best on the left wing.

Joel Matip – It’ll be another match without Van Dijk at the back and Matip will be tasked with marshaling the defense. Wolves have some attacking quality he will need to watch closely and not fall into the trap of lapses in concentration that have become too common in his game in the last year.

If he plays well, it’ll go a long way to giving Liverpool the confidence to get forward and attack a very gettable Wolves back four. If not, we could be in for a shootout.
