3 Liverpool winners heading into the international break
Alexander Isak
Isak had a very difficult first season at Liverpool following his £125 million move from Newcastle United. His campaign was hampered by injuries, and his return was poor. However, so far this season, Isak already has four goals in five Premier League games. He also set up Alexis Mac Allister's winner against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
Cody Gakpo
Gakpo nearly joined Manchester City over the summer. However, Reds fans will be glad he stayed after his impressive performances this season. He has two goals with four assists in six games in all competitions this season. Gakpo is one of a number of Reds players whose form has turned around this season.
Jeremy Jacquet
Jacquet has been the perfect replacement for Ibrahima Konate. Virgil van Dijk is now 35, so he needs some younger legs around him. Jacquet is just 21 and has started every Premier League game for the Reds so far. He could make his debut for France after being included in Zinedine Zidane's first squad in charge of Les Bleus.
3 losers heading into the international break
Florian Wirtz
Wirtz has yet to replicate his form for Bayer Leverkusen in a Liverpool shirt. He would have been hoping that his manager at Leverkusen, Xabi Alonso, would return to Anfield as manager. However, Alonso is now Chelsea's boss. The midfielder has just one goal involvement so far this season, but has still made Jurgen Klopp's Germany squad.
Bradley Barcola
Barcola was a big capture for Liverpool as they signed him from Paris Saint-Germain over the summer. However, he has yet to score or make an assist in five games for the Reds. Barcola cost Liverpool £120M, and big price tags often weigh heavily on players at the club.
Milos Kerkez
Kerkez is yet to perform for Liverpool as he did with Bournemouth. Having Iraola manage him again should have got him back to his best. With the Cherries, Kerkez was a very attacking left-back. However, he has not had any goal involvement this season.
