We might be in some kind of time nebulous right now, but there is a very real possibility that Mohamed Salah might not play for Liverpool Football Club again.

Following his explosive interview following the gut-wrenching draw with Leeds United on Saturday, the Egyptian star has been left out of the Reds traveling squad for Tuesday's Champions League meeting with Inter.

When manager Arne Slot was asked if he believed that Salah would play for the club again, he could not give a clear answer.

If our legendary No. 11 does depart in such an unceremonious way, a replacements must be had.

Having spent a small fortune over the summer, there would still be a huge hole to fill, even in is poor form. Here are four players that could replace Salah on the right wing for Liverpool.

Just Missed the List: Jeremie Frimpong, Federico Chiesa, Bradley Barcola, Désiré Doué, Donyell Malen

Michael Olise - Bayern Munich

The Frenchman is enjoying a fine season for the Bavarian giants as he has scored nine goals to go along with eleven assists across all competitions.

He is a key member of the Bayern attack and it would be insanely difficult to pry him away from them, especially after Liverpool snatched Florian Wirtz from under their nose over the summer.

The Reds have been credited with an interest in the player, and there's no denying he would make for a fine option to pick up the mantle from a departing Salah. He would also come with proven Premier League experience from his time at Crystal Palace.

At just 23-years old, he still has a hugely bright future ahead of him as he has not even hit his peak years yet, which in turn, makes him a perfect long-term replacement out wide.

He would bring his own dynamism on the ball that we are used to from Salah and his goal contributions speak for themselves over the years. This would be the dream.

Rodrygo - Real Madrid

We stay at the elite level right now, but move to Spain to find the beleaguered Brazliain, Rodrygo. The star winger has been frozen out of the side for long stretches this season, and while the club have been supportive, a player of his ilk will be wanting full minutes going forward.

He has not yet scored a goal in La Liga or Champions League action this season, which could mean a price reduction could also be on the cards.

Pairing the 24-year old with players like Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Alexander Isak and Dominik Szoboszlai could really restore him to his full powers and it would be a sight to see on a weekly basis.

Like Olise, his best work is still in front of him and Liverpool would be in sure hands for the next half decade if this move came to fruition.

He's a very gifted techincal footballer that has some physical tools, but it's the flair that he plays with that sets him apart from the average winger. Given some freedom like Salah, he could do a lot of damage to opposing defenders.

Antoine Semenyo - Bournemouth

A more sensible option would be Semenyo. He's already plying his trade in the Premier League as he has been shining for the Cherries this season, so there would be no league adjustment needed.

The Ghanaian has netted six times this term and at 25, is entering his prime years. If he were to follow the path of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth to Liverpool, the talent upgrade could unlock his next level.

He has attacking versatility across the front three, which is something manager Arne Slot is a huge fan of when considering forward options.

He has a £60 million release clause that becomes active in January, and at that cost, the deal feels a lot more feasible than the £100+ million that will likely be required for the two above.

Semenyo would bring a more physical version of wing-play than we'd see from the others on this list, but that might not be a bad thing at all. His high effort, physicality and league experience all make him a fine alternative should the unthinkable happen with Salah.

Johan Bakayoko - RB Leipzig

The 22-year old Belgian was once seen as a can't-miss option during his time in the Dutch Eredivisie a few years ago. His stock has taken a small hit since moving to Germany, but the potential is there.

With a current market value of just €30 million, Bakayoko would make comfortable financial sense for Michael Edwards and Co. to pinpoint, when you think of the growth potential he still has.

Given the right opportunities at Liverpool, and the ideal system, could he not become our version of Jeremy Doku at City? I don't think that would be out of the realm of possibility. His dynamic playing style would very much suit him to the Anfield faithful and the players around him.

He has also previously been linked with a move to Merseyside, so this one would not be totally of nowhere either. With his struggles to produce this season, Leipzig could be more open to a move as well.

Bringing on a project with high-upside might not be the splashiest way to replace a club legend, but it very well could be the best bit of business they do if this situation comes to pass.
