2. A balanced squad
Eleven different players have scored a goal for Liverpool this season across all comps and 16 different players have recorded at least one assist. That is outstanding balance throughout a squad.
Obviously, players like Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz have done a lot of the heavy lifting, but they have not been the sole carriers in attack. When you can count on almost any player to contribute going forward, it gets the whole team playing with extra juice and confidence.
Defenders, midfielders and forwards need to be connected from back-to-front and front-to-back if a club really wants to maximize their potential.
The fact that Liverpool could arguably say a defender, midfielder and a forward are their Player of the Season so far, something is going very right at the club.
You need more than World Class superstars to succeed at the highest level, and this season has shown the Reds' supporting cast is more than just "also-rans".
