Andoni Iraola needs to improve Arne Slot's team massively if he is to be a success at Liverpool. Slot saw a side go from Premier League winners to one that finished fifth.

It is a big task for Iraola as he had previously been with AFC Bournemouth, who are not expected to challenge for the title. However, if he can add some of these names to his squad, then he can be a success at Anfield.

Marcos Senesi

With Ibrahima Konate leaving Liverpool for Real Madrid, Iraola will need a new center-back. Marcos Senesi could be a good fit to play alongside Virgil van Dijk. However, Iraola will need to hijack his move to Tottenham Hotspur if he is to follow him to Anfield.

Tyler Adams

Tyler Adams was a rock in defensive midfield for Iraola's Bournemouth. He has been linked with moves to top clubs in the past, and was recently reported to be a target for Manchester United.

Therefore, the Reds could get one over their bitter rivals by signing Adams while helping themselves.

He even came close to joining Chelsea before he arrived at the Cherries. There is huge pressure on Adams to perform at the World Cup, which his country, the United States, is co-hosting this summer.

Adams could play alongside Ryan Gravenberch in defensive midfield in Iraola's 4-2-3-1 formation at Liverpool. The only concern Reds fans may have about Adams is that he is injury-prone. Last season, he suffered knee and hamstring problems, which meant he played just 25 Premier League games.

Junior Kroupi

The Reds could do with a new striker as Alexander Isak failed to live up to his astronomical price tag of £125 million.

Hugo Ekitike is out long-term with an Achilles injury. Kroupi scored 13 goals in 33 Premier League matches last season. He is also only 19, so he could be a top player at Anfield for years to come.

Rayan

With Mohamed Salah departing Liverpool this summer, the Reds need someone to fill his boots.

Rayan arrived at Bournemouth in January as a replacement for Antoine Semenyo. The Brazilian scored five times with two assists in 15 Premier League matches.

He is also only 19, so he has the potential to be as good as Salah. The former Vasco da Gama player already has two caps for Brazil and has been included in Carlo Ancelotti's roster for the World Cup.

Fran García

Liverpool already have Milos Kerkez as a left-back option who played under Iraola at Bournemouth.

However, he did not live up to expectations at Anfield last season. With Andy Robertson departing for Tottenham, Liverpool could do with signing a new left-back.

Perhaps acquiring Fran Garcia from Real Madrid could be a smart option. Iraola had him when he was the manager of Rayo Vallecano. Under Iraola, Garcia helped Rayo gain promotion to La Liga. In total, he played 122 times for Iraola's side, scoring five times and setting up eight goals.

Garcia's form for Rayo led to a transfer back to Real Madrid. He lacked game time at Los Blancos last season.

In total, he played just 23 times, scoring once and making just one assist. Real Madrid have Álvaro Carreras and Ferland Mendy in the left-back position. There are also rumors that Jose Mourinho wants to sign Riccardo Calafiori from Arsenal.

Many Liverpool players have left to join Real Madrid in the past. Therefore, it could be time for one to go the other way. Garcia excelled under Iraola at Rayo, and he could do so again at Anfield.
