A lot has been made of Liverpool's three biggest stars only having six months left on their current deals, but they are far from the only ones.
There are several star players potentially available for free this summer all over the map, so Liverpool are not alone in the struggle.
Here is a full starting eleven of players who may become free agents in the summer and have a chance to be snapped up by the Reds.
Goalkeeper - Alex Meret
Whilst extremely unlikely that any goalkeeper will be approached by Liverpool this summer, Alex Meret looks the pick of the potential free agents.
The Italian shot stopper is rumoured to be extending at Napoli also, a club that he's played almost 200 times for.
Right-back - Tariq Lamptey
Brighton youngster Tariq Lamptey has experienced many ups and downs in his young Brighton career. The Ghanaian has 100 career games under his belt, many coming in the Premier League.
The attacking full-back could well be an option should Trent Alexander-Arnold leave the club, as good competition for Conor Bradley.
Centre-back - Jonathan Tah
Jonathan Tah is a player with previous media links to Liverpool and is fresh off winning his first Bundesliga title.
He would bring a certain steel and experience to the defense that some of these other targets might not yet at this stage in their careers.
The powerhouse defender is still only 28 and his tabs are being kept by many a top club. Barcelona are the media favorites for his signature but he'd no doubt be tempted by a spell at Anfield.
Centre-back - Olivier Boscagli
A player who Arne Slot will have battled many a time in recent years, PSV defender Olivier Boscagli is a versitle Frenchman with an eye for goal.
The former Nice player is another who tasted league championship glory in Holland last year and will have plenty of potential suiters should he not extend at PSV.
Left-back - Alphonso Davies
Probably one of the players Liverpool fans will be most intrigued by should he become a free agent, Canadian superstar Alphonso Davies looks set to end his successful spell at Bayern Munich.
The flying full-back is still just 24 and has incredible attributes both going forward and defensively. He is a true superstar talent and any big-time club would be lucky to secure his services. He would be a dream signing on a free.
Defensive Midfield - Joshua Kimmich
Joshua Kimmich is another who could be leaving Bayern Munich and another who could solve a lot of Liverpool's current problems.
The versatile German can also play in several defensive positions, including at right-back. He also is likely to make his 100th appearance for Germany this year. He would bring veteran savvy and leadership to the side.
Centre-mid - Marco Verratti
Verratti has been talked about in regards to an Anfield move for many years and despite being in his early thirties now, he could still have plenty to offer.
The Italian has played 300 games for PSG but hasn't had a productive spell in Saudi Arabia and will surely be ending that when his contract runs out this summer.
Attacking-midfield - Kevin De Bruyne
One of the Premier League's best ever players, Kevin De Bruyne could be a few months away from the end of his highly successful Manchester City career.
The Belgian has won 6 Premier League titles and if he can stay fit, he may still have a few year at the top ahead of him. Would he sign for City's biggest rivals during his time there? It seems unlikely but you never know!
Right-Winger - Roony Bardghji
Roony Bardghji's agent could be extremely busy this summer as his young client looks to be finally stepping into the big time.
The young Swedish winger is a shining star at just 19 and will surely get a chance in a major league, should he chose to leave Copenhagen this year.
Left-Winger - Neymar
Neymar has been paid a fortune for very little game time in Saudi but at just 32, he still will feel like he has a lot to offer any club who wants to pay the wage he may demand.
The Brazilian remains a global megastar and a big move could reignite his career at the top of the game.
Striker - Jonathan David
Another Canadian on the list, Jonathan David is a striker at the top of his game. The Lille forward has averaged a goal every two games throughout his entire career, with over 80 for the French outfit.
An even better record internationally, means a host of clubs are interested in the striker, including fellow Premier League clubs Manchester United and Arsenal.
Could David be the solution in the middle of the attack going forward for Liverpool?
