Alexis Mac Allister is going nowhere this summer.
The Argentine, like many Liverpool players it feels, was linked with a move away from Merseyside.
The number 10 was rumoured to be a target of fierce rivals Manchester City after they lost Rodri to Barcelona.
But, amidst concerns of squad depth, and with the departure of Curtis Jones, many Liverpool fans will be able to breathe a sigh of relief.
Speaking to WinWin sports, Mac Allister's father, Carlos explained:
"Alexis is not thinking about leaving Liverpool. He wants to stay at the club. Liverpool hasn't started contract renewal talks yet, but the players desire is to continue at the club."
Music to the ears. Although there will be concerns that the Reds are yet to open renewal talks, after Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboslzai were recently rewarded with new contracts.
The good news comes following Manchester City's failed attempt to coax Enzo Fernandez away from Chelsea, who then turned their attention to Liverpool's Argentinian midfielder.

Liverpool's number 10 did not enjoy a good season under Arne Slot. Not many of the squad did.
The Argentine midfielder looked past his best, slow, and showed shades of Fabinho during his final season with the Reds - like his legs had gone.
In hindsight, this almost seemed intentional. He enjoyed a good World Cup with Argentina, scoring one goal as La Albiceleste came close to defending their title.
He didn't have the best of performances in the final, but no one in blue and white did.
A few months later, Mac Allister started on the bench against Newcastle, but after he came on the Reds were more secure in midfield.
Following his good performance and how he trained, the 27 year old was rewarded with a start against Forest, where he performed well for 77 minutes, and kept the Reds ticking.
He adds a bit of grit and fight into Liverpool's midfield, which is exactly what is needed since the Reds are missing a 'certified' number 6.
Andoni Iraola does have a bit of an issue in midfield. The combination of Gravenberch and Szoboszlai left the Reds exposed against Newcastle, and while the Hungarian and Mac Allister were an improvement against Forest, they were still easy to bypass.
This could be a structural issue as well as a personnel issue, but it's still early days for Iraola and his tactics.
It may even benefit the Reds to start Szoboszlai at right-back again, and let Gravenberch, Trey Nyoni and Mac Allister compete for a starting spot in the middle of the park.
Whatever happens, Liverpool have been very active in the past day of the transfer window, and keeping Mac Allister is a big boost for the Reds.
Liverpool are next in action away to Ipswich on Friday.
